Healing Hugs Project is a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2024. HHP is focused on providing care and comfort items to pediatric patients and the families with them in area hospitals.

Healing Hugs Project was founded by Claire Davenport, a senior in high school with goals of helping patients just like her. As a patient at Children’s Hospital of Nebraska herself, Claire knows the true reality of what patients face when they are receiving care at the hospital and how something like a care item can bring so much comfort during that time. These items may seem small, but Claire understands the big impact they have.
